Recently, i finally understand the feeling of

hanging on to a ambiguous relationship.

I used to feel why one would make he/herself

miserable hanging on to an ambiguous relationship.

jolly well, confess everything and get an answer f

rom the other party la. haha. it isnt that difficult anyway.

However, perception really change when u have a feel of it.

Because having an answer is no longer important anymore, i guess.

The attachment from within is something that cant

be removed and washed away.

Perhaps, i really need to burn this feeling out to move on further.

Been really going through another turning point of my life,

some might think its turning down.

But i think all these just part of my healing journey.

I BELIEVE IM GETTING BETTER EACH DAY!!!

Sorry guys....was busy and having a hard time trying to log in multiply and blog.

Finally found a new proxy website but still can log in multiply.

The past few months has been about work and work and work.

The only short break i had is going to Hong Kong to

meet my brother and friends there.

It was a fun and exciting trip.

We had so little time that we rush everywhere

have a look and *whooom* off we go to the next attraction.LOL

Most "qiao" thing is i met my schoolmate

while shopping in H&M at central.

Its nice to meet a friend oversea and hang out

with her Singaporean friends there.

So the few of us went countdown together at Harbour City.

It was so crowded with all nationalities and

we didnt see much of the firework either.

Interesting experience thou,

being smashed in the middle of the human sea.

Times really flies, it has already been 5mth, and i'll be back soon.

Probably be back after Chinese New Year, around mid feb.

Await my grand returns!!

The other day went shopping with Allison, sophie and Kaka(tour guide).

This is the walking street of Changsha and its always crowded.

We walk pass the street almost everyday.

So, we took the chance and had a picture with e statue.

They have statues along the streets

reflecting the traditional practices of the Changsha ppl.

Sophie, mi and Kaka at the middle of the walking street,

where ppl always gather to show their dogs.

We tried to post sth out at the back street but unfortunately,

our camerman(kaka) always slow at pressing the button.

She's really courageous to come to

a foreign country without knowing the language.

We went YueLu Mountain on the

first weekend that Gabi came.
It was really cool as its like the first outing

of the foriegners of the hotel with ppl

from Korea, New Zealand, Brazil, Indonesia,

Singapore(MI) and of course, the Chinese.

It was thrilling too as we tried to aviod paying the entrance fee.

We tried to went up with the back routes.

But lucky enough, we got caught and the culture demostrated again.

That's Bargaining!!

Successfully, we got the entrance tix at 9yuan instead of 15 yuan.

It was really pissing when we had a hard time climbing up

the mountain without proper pathway and in the end, we paid.

Anyway, it was fun though.

It's the first time i truly feel like i'm hiking with

rocky and steep slopes to climb.

Bukit Timah hill is really nothing compared to this.

What really amazed mi was the sight of

an old woman running down slope effortlessly.

I was like "OMG!! that's crazy!" and

the next thing i feel was ashamed. lol feeling tired after an easy hiking.

Finally, we reached the peak feeling slightly exhausted.

Risk Taking!!

Being in China for 2 months, somehow i think i

have learnt some tricks from the locals.

Today, after dinner at a restaurant 2 streets away,

we got to walk underpass to get back to our dormitory.

Being typical locals, they suggested that we jay walked across.

What's interesting is, the road is not like Singapore will a max of 4- 5 lanes.

I ran across 8 LANES within few seconds!!!

I was screaming and laughing like crazy while running across it.

Well, kids please dun learn from me. jiejie has trained before! hehe =)

Life is pretty much a routine here after 1 month.

Goes to work early in the morning and surf the net at night after work.

Occassionally join colleagues for outing.

But i'm very happy.

hehe..with ah ma's chilli paste,

everyday eat in the staff canteen also not sian.

Recently, A brazilian management trainee came.

She's a true from the western area of the world.

Super friendly and loud.

She hugs and kisses us everytime she see us. hahahaha..

Kind of too much for the Locals here who stare like she's an alien.

The other day, i went strolling by the river with her.

Suddenly, a middle-aged man came forward and touches her shoulder.

I was so shocked that i pulled her away.

but surprisingly, she wasnt afraid or worried at all.

she just smiled and continue walking.

Very brave women indeed.

Life is pretty okay here. The new department head is more professional and not too bad in character. furthermore, he likes Singaporean. haha.. He likes to listen to Singaporean's english especially Singaporean women. I got no idea why. He thinks pretty highly of Singaporean, asking me for opinions on English when he's a certified English instructor and he has a University English lecturer as secretary.

Well, overall, the department people are pretty easy going and nice to work with. I'm glad i'm posted to this department.

I'm missing Singapore, the friends, the places and the food.

16 more weeks before going home......

The story of 2 silly foreigners in China, Changsha Part 1

Weather is getting cold over here, exceptionally cold for a Singaporean!

We are lucky that a Korean friend of my roommate gave us those mattress heater(dunno what its called) that warms up the bed during winter.

We tried to use it yesterday.. At first, it wasnt really warm so we turn the power to the highest degree. Feeling satisfied with the temperature, we turned off the light and sleep.

And guess what? hahaha...the 2 silly girls woke up in the middle of the night sweating. -_-"

Having three foreign trainees together can be quite an interesting thing. Talking in a few languages and exchanging comments on the local food we had tried before. We went to eat some of the local snacks. Allison, our New Zealand trainee, actually likes to eat this thing called "tian you ba ba" It is sticky rice wrapped in sugar and deep fried. *tat's alot of calories=( *

The 2 brave foreginer from Singapore and Korea decided

to explore the city of ShenZhen during the 7 day national day holiday.

Having released the news of us leaving for shenzhen,

the only response we got back was, "its very dangerous, be very careful!"

Before we left our dormitory, i drew a love card. Guess what i drew.....

I drew the Adventure card which means that

we will have lots of adventure along the way with luck on our side.

Feel excitedly, we left our dormitory and took a bus to the train station.

It was really crowded. We had a hard time entering the station.

However, manage to take a picture outside the station.

It was so crowded that we got pushed apart.

We din even dare to talk while waiting at the platform,

afraid of being recognise as foreigners..wahahha..

This is what a colleague told us to do, talk less and lookout more.

Never did i expect this to be our seat. Ours bed is the top ones.

Due to cultural shock, I sat at the seat below and

stared at the bed for quite some time. Plus figuring out how to get up there.

This is our Korean Monkey..ahhaha.. quite a pretty monkey isnt it?

We got to exchange our ticket for these cards to board the train.

This is my bed for 10 hrs.

The space is just enough to sleep and nothing else.

I cant even sit upright. Sleeping Beauty~~~

We reached Shenzhen the following day at about 930am.

Our colleague picked us up and sent us to his home.

After resting and bathing, we waste no time and went out exploring.

The above is Shenzhen train station and train token.

It works like EZlink just that its shape is like a coin.

Quite cute though.

Below is the picture took at Shenzhen Airport. hahaha...

we din took a plane over but we went there

to pick our colleague's friend up.

The airport is really nice compared to the one in Changsha.

So huge and nice like Changi Airport. =)

Shopping in Shenzhen is definitely an adventure.

although things can be quite cheap

but we have to waste effort bargaining and keep looking out for robbers.

They can snatch your valuables even in broad daylight.

We saw it happening right in front of us....scary~

On the third day, we went to Shenzhen famous attraction- Da Mei Sha.

Below is the legendary stone where lots of couples will come.

Too bad, i went there without a partner..lol.

We took almost 2 hour to go there and back home due to traffic jam.

Went all the way there to BBQ corn and eggplant. wahhaa....-_-""

This is Da Mei Sha Wish Tower. One got to

pay to enter and its a modernised tower.

Dun have to climb, can just take lift all the way up to the top.

Interesting~

On the last day, met up with bro's shenzhen gf-wing. hahahaha*jk*

She's very nice to make time to bring us around and even treat us to dinner.

Had an enjoyable dinner with her at a japanese restaurant

and marked the end of our Shenzhen trip.

woohoo... its Mid-autumn festival today!!

I think welfare is pretty good here.

We got half a day off today,

bonus sum up to 100RMB and

also 2 mooncake each.

haha..not bad rite...

I'm wondering what will happen during

Chinese new year since its a big festival for the Chinese.

Maybe we'll get bigger hangbao..wahaha

I got to rush off liao...

i going off to supermarket cos

they gonna cook dinner at a colleague's house.

i have to be maria!!! go carry things for them.

The other day got invited by Tina

to go to her house for dinner.

She's really nice and adorable.

Hiking Trip.

The other day, we went to the famous YueLu Shan

while the weather was very good.

This the entrance into the mountain.

So expensive, RMB20 per person just to climb mountain..

Imagine paying money to shag out myself. crazy!

There's this open concept cable car,

like those ppl take to go snow skiing.

Never took one before...so up we went....

We felt nervous at the moment we sat on it

and it went higher and higher and higher.

But the scenery is really beautiful.

The mountain is located at the

east side of the Xiang River.

There..you see the island in the

middle is the Orange Island.

Closed up of the island. It's currently during

construction to become a tourist attraction.

See, the faraway satelite dish looking building,

at the end of the bridge, is where i'm working.

i think it's about the distance of the causeway

between singapore and malaysia.

People here are really friendly,

keep inviting us to their dept outing.

So far, we attended 3 depts' outing already.

-Birthday Bash with Sales & marketing ppl

-Went BBQ with the Front Office ppl and Finance ppl

-Went to the security dept outing at a ktv

Thou we can consider to be popular here

and i think i'm good at making new friends

but guess we are creating too much

a commotion in the hotel.

Everybody's talking & watching us,

kind of feel there's no privacy.

Furthermore, we're in on attachment.

Luckily, Sophie is here with mi...

both of us can talk to each other.

We take care of each other.

I feel its really a rare chance that

2 person from different countries

can be so close in a foreign country.

i really cherish this relationship.

Without her, maybe life wouldnt

be that fantastic here.

Anyway, how's everybody back in singapore?

We went to the pub in Changha the

other day on the invitation of kevin.

Some background knowledge:

Changsha most popular places are their pubs.

it's always flooded with people

regardless weekdays or weekends,

except that weekend will be extremely packed.

Anyway, that day was Kevin Hou,

our Crowne Meeting Director's birthday.

So the whole bunch of staffs from

sales and marketing went outing to celebrate his birthday.

Hot Weather

I’ve decided to write this entry in

Chinese to practice typing in Chinese. 哈哈哈
在这里反而变得更健康，每天都去跑步。

每天来回跑，从宿舍跑到长沙著名的湘江。

河边都很多车辆，所以空气不是很好。

可实在河边跑步很清凉
今天去做体检了。。。

厕所不是一般的胀，而是非常的胀！！

那味道从远远都闻到了。

It’s the first time taking flight to a faraway place alone.

*shagged face after waiting 4 hours for the flight to Changsha*

Being advised to be extra careful while traveling alone

in China made me even more worried.

However, the trip was considered safe and smooth sailing.
It was so great to see the hotel staffs waiting

for me at the Changsha airport.

It was 3 pleasant looking guys.

While waiting for Sophie to arrive at Changsha

we crack jokes on the car.

The hotel staffs are really friendly.

We were warmly welcomed by a group of them, mainly guys,

despite the heavy rain. I feel like we were treated like VIP.

Wahhaha…

Many of the managers here are also from over places,

so they really understand how we feel being alone oversea.
Our daily routine is going to the

supermarket and washing clothes.

LOL I feel like an obasan.

No choice, no mummy and washing machine to help.

I guess God wants me to develop true independence.

On the second day, while waiting to get the local phonecard,

Neil bought us some famous and popular

smelly beancurd to eat. Guess wat?! It’s BLACK in colour!!!

But bo bian, cause his gf queue very long to

buy it so die die also must eat.

So……I stuffed it into my mouth!

It’s the tradition kind of smelly tofu.

The other day had a steamboat dinner at my house.
It’s kind of like a farewell dinner with the team.
It’s great to see Germaine and
family before I leave…tiffany is so cute!!!

We also watched MBYS video clip together.

We really went through a lot together during the past half a year.

The other day, went shopping for

a pair of running shoe with Sophie,

Anson(in orange) and Johnson(in white).

They were being volunteered by us to help

us carry our drinking water

back from Walmart to the domitory.

hahahah...i guess they feel honoured

having 2 pretty ladies asking favour from them.

Anson is the one who went to the airport to fetch us.

According to them, conceirge staff has to read up

on the VIP in order to better understand them.

So, he knows everything on the CV about mi and sohpie. -_-"

He read that Cancer are

passionate and sensitive people who are HOMELY.

The word "Homely" keep echoing in my mind.

I was wondering how do I survive alone in China for 6 months.

Elaine said this the last time we met

"I bet you'll be homesick!haha"

Well, i agreed with her and the Horoscope reading.

I'm a homely person.

There's so much uncertainty to be alone there

and leaving everything behind.

This trip is definitely a big breakthrough for me.

I believe God's grace is always on me.

Tml is POV-Power to Lead Wealth$$$...Been waiting for it for a month or so.....

Did some pretty crazy stuff this whole week. Guess wat,

i watched 4 movies in a week!! wahaha....cos its relatively cheap.

So ppl with POSB credit card run to Cathay now

and catch movies at a discounted rate!!

My opinion:

Alone isnt as horrifying as it is. Kind of disappointed with the story flow compared to

Vacancy. Vacancy was more scary and exciting. haha. Imagine, the show can

make somebody scold vulgarity thru'out the whole moive!! hahaha. Next,

is Knocked Up. Personally, i think that it's a must watch show cos

its damn freaking funny though there's quite a fair bit of sexual content.

Finally is Flash Point. People who loves action and hunks, its a must watch too!!

Donnie Yen despite his age, he's super shuai in the show. If only he's my father,

i'll be damn proud of him!! hahaha..(drooling) Until near the end then

i realise that Louis Koo is there just for show of his handsome face

but he cant fight. Overall, these are pretty nice movies if

you enjoy paying $$ to freak urself out just like mi. ahhaha

OMG. after looking at the calendar then i realise that's

alot to be done before flying to china. this include the major part

of passing all my modules. if not, will be very dui nian to

be called back from china. i'll never let this happen to mi.

Things to do:

- get my Visa done

- get the flight tix

- of course, passing all my modules!!
